Zaha's goodbye gift is a place in the Premier League as Phillips
converts extra-time penalty the United-bound ace won for his boyhood
club
Veteran Kevin Phillips blasted Crystal Palace back into the Premier League after a seven-year absence, firing home from the penalty spot in extra-time.
Manchester United-bound Wilfried Zaha earned the spot kick with his umpteenth menacing run into the box, where he was fouled by Marco Cassetti in the final minute of the first-half of the added period.
In normal time it was an hour before either goalkeeper was called into any real action, but when it came, Manuel Almunia had to be at his best three times in quick succession.
The former Arsenal man continued to be the busier of the two, keeping out a handful more Crystal Palace chances, the architect of which was almost exclusively Zaha, as the clock ticked down. ---------------------------- Complete Sports
